Use targeted lists
Start by segmenting your audiences into target groups. It can be job titles, industry, demographic information, purchase history, and size of the company, etc.
Adapt your content
You don’t want to send the same email to everyone. You will naturally receive better results by adapting your message and content to each audience.
Title or subject line most important
The title or subject line is probably the most important part of the whole campaign. It's no use if you can't get people to open your email. Content in the email should be focused on the customer, “what’s in it for them”, rather than just pushing out your products and facts.
Keep it short
Include a call to action. It can be a link to an article, to a whitepaper, to a seminar, or to a certain product. You want to drive traffic back to your website and engage your visitors.
Social media integration
Use social media buttons to allow easy sharing of content in the email. Never under-estimate the power of word-of-month and make it easy for your customers.
