University website with student focus

University of Skövde had been using the EPiServer CMS platform since 2001 and it was time to restructure it, introduce a new way of working and create a consistent navigation system where the complexity to find and search for information was reduced. The website should work as a channel for communication between students and teachers and improvements within accessibility and 24-hour web were also considered.

Meeting the needs of their targetgroups

Today University of Skövde has a Web site with a new look and feel. The university's former website was structured according to the needs of the organization but now it’s based on the needs of the different target groups with a special focus on prospective students. With the new site, the University of Skövde can now promote its faculties properly.

Daniel Andrén, project leader at the University of Skövde says: "The work has been exciting and successful, we have learned much during the project and we will bring new knowledge we've learnt to future projects".

Karin Ladberg, information manager at University of Skövde says: "We are very pleased with the result and have received a lot of positive feedback from our students and employees. This is part of our new communication strategy and a way to make students help recruit more people."
