Episerver Hits Major Milestone in Convergence Strategy with Availability of Summer '15 Features

Stockholm and Irvine, Calif., September 15, 2015

Continuous Releases of Episerver Digital Experience Cloud™ Deliver Quick Time-to-Value for Customers Seeking to Differentiate through Digital Transformation

Episerver, a leading provider of digital marketing and digital commerce solutions, today announced new enhancements to its Episerver Digital Experience Cloud™ solution with its Summer ‘15 launch. The release offers a broader feature set for customers – available immediately – and marks continued progress towards the company’s product strategy for convergence.

Availability of the Summer ’15 features is the second major milestone for Episerver as it executes on its product roadmap, a strategy established through the Ektron/Episerver merger earlier this year. Through close collaboration with its developer and user communities, Episerver is delivering solution enhancements on a continual basis; significant enhancements are bundled into quarterly releases hitting in spring, summer, fall and winter.

"The enabling architecture of the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud™ enables delivery of new features and functionality via a continuous and agile delivery approach, providing customers with fast time-to-value and the ability to put enhancements to use without waiting for a major product release," said Bob Egner, Vice President of Product Management for Episerver. "Episerver’s release introduction process also supports our strategy to deliver a converged platform that leverages best-of features and supports emerging innovation. Each seasonal release is a marker on the journey that our customers are taking towards digital leadership.”

The Summer ‘15 features offer new functionality to benefit both users and developers. New content management features include:

  • Ability to compare properties view between different versions
  • New multiple content references property
  • Improved search results in Blocks and Media gadget
  • Status of unpublished, scheduled, or expired content now appears in best bets list
  • Customized search block

Additional new digital commerce functionality enables user access for commerce functions from the CMS admin view, and improved search results in the Catalogs gadget.
