Analyst and Public Relations Manager - Chicago, IL or Irvine, CA, USA

We’re looking for an organized and results-driven AR/PR Manager to join our fun, fast-paced, and hardworking team.

As a three-time Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management (WCM) and a recent Leader in Forrester’s Wave for WCM Systems, Episerver has seen significant uptick in global sales opportunities following this recognition and placement in other equally important Digital Commerce, Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) and Multichannel Campaign Management (MCCM) evaluations. In just two years, the Company has expanded from inclusion in just three analyst evaluations to more than 10, and the list is growing.

We recognize the important role analysts play as third-party validators of Episerver’s products and strategy, and have ambitious goals to increase our level of engagement with these influencers on a global scale. Your primary focus will be to help move our bold Analyst Relations plans forward, with secondary responsibilities supporting the Company’s Public Relations efforts.

You will need to be self-motivated, personable, timeline-driven, and detail-oriented to help support our momentum among recognized analysts from the world’s leading firms. You will work closely with Product Management, Product Marketing and our Product Evangelists, as well as our Head of AR/PR to project manage major evaluation deadlines and deliverables, analyst customer reference requests, and the launch of licensed reprint promotions. Additional responsibilities will include managing briefings and inquiries with tiers two and three analysts, which will require a confident and assertive person who has no issue working with more senior members of the organization. 

How to Excel at Episerver

  • Project manages analyst research deadlines and deliverables, including but not limited to: survey submissions, customer reference requests, briefing and demo scheduling, etc.
  • Proactively communicates with and supports product stakeholders to meet research deadlines
  • Develops and maintains a repository of year-over-year survey responses for like surveys
  • Works with Product, Customer Reference, Account Management and Sales teams to identify, recruit and manage customer references in support of evaluations and ad hoc analyst requests
  • Exhibits grace and problem-solving skills under pressure, and discernment with reprioritization
  • Project manages and collaborates with the marketing team to launch licensed research promotions
  • Assists AR Director with development of annual “Analyst Predictions” report and regular “Analyst Perspectives” research summary reports to share with product teams and executives
  • Facilitates regular interactions (i.e. briefings and inquiries) with select tier two and three analysts
  • Develops strategy and leads the Company’s efforts to drive customers to complete Episerver product reviews on crowd-sourced review sites like Gartner Peer Insights, TrustRadius and G2Crowd
  • Assists PR agency of record with scheduling spokesperson interviews to fulfill inbound requests from journalists
  • Assists with project management of annual global benchmark report in collaboration with marketing team and external PR agency of record
  • Maintains the “Episerver In the News” page on Company website
  • Challenges the status quo, and has cool new ideas how to improve Episerver’s influence and reputation in the analyst world

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ demonstrable experience in Analyst Relations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Communications or similar field or related business experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and superb written and oral communication skills
  • Ambitious yet flexible self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing environment with a start-up feel
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at one time
  • Experience in/knowledge of the software industry (digital marketing, CRM or commerce preferred, but not essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A desire to work hard, make a difference, and have fun doing it
