Bilmetro wanted a CMS supplier that could help them develop a new design, specifications and strategy for their new website. In selecting EPiServer CMS, they chose an easy and flexible editor for their website that could be upgraded in the future.
Bilmetro wanted a CMS supplier that could help them develop a new design, requirement specification and strategy for their new Web site. They also wanted an easy and flexible publishing tool for their external Web site. One of the demands was that the system could be upgraded in the future. They chose to work with Sogeti in collaboration with Bangalore, an advertising agency in Borlänge, and the Web Content Management (WCM) tool EPiServer CMS.
Sogeti developed the website templates on the EPiServer according to the selected design. On the website visitors can see which cars are in stock, both new and used cars, in each city. The information for this is collected from www.bytbil.com. Bilmetro and Sogeti are continuously working on further development of the website.
The new platform and the new design of the website have improved Bilmetro’s service towards its customers and the updating of the website is now much easier. The goal is to increase the available services on the website to improve the availability for the users.
Bilmetro was established in 1922 and is one of the oldest car companies in Sweden. Bilmetro has about 450 employees in twelve cities in the Counties of Gävleborg and Dalarna. Together they have a turnover of 1.4 billion SEK. Bilmetro is not just one of the leading car companies in Sweden, but also one of the largest privately owned companies in the car business.
