In January 2015, Ektron and Episerver merged to create a new global digital leader of scale, with potent technology capabilities, global customer community, and a broad partner ecosystem.
Our company now operates under the Episerver name, but the merger benefits and protects the investments customers and partners have made in both product sets and provides more options to extend the value of those investments. In May 2015 we began to make Episerver technology available to Ektron users and vice-versa, and in November 2015, we announced the convergence of the best of both offerings plus many net new capabilities for all customers into a single next generation Digital Experience Cloud.
Today, whether you continue to use our software on-premise, in the cloud or a hybrid of the two is entirely up to you, as is the ability to move between licensing and deployment scenarios – it’s your business and your choice. No matter which approach you choose, the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud offers advanced web content management, multi-channel digital marketing, contextual digital commerce, and extensive connectivity capabilities – all on a single platform.
The new Episerver is recognized as Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management (WCM) and as a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Horizontal Portals.
