Create templates in EPiServer CMS without programming skills
EPiServer Composer introduces a new way of working with EPiServer CMS 5. Its edit on page mode allows people without programming skills to create and alter page templates in a few seconds. This will result in huge time savings, which means the Web editors will be able to focus on the communication on the Web site rather than the technique behind it.
EPiServer Composer, formerly known as Extension X3, is a plug-in for EPiServer CMS 5 that allows Web editors to change the layout, structure and functions of the Web site, the online sales funnel. This can be done within minutes, without any developing skills or prior experience of Web developing. Drag and drop simplifies the Web editors' day-to-day work and allows the editors to create own templates.
Efficient editors
With Web editors that are independent on system developers to make changes in the layout and functions of the templates, editors will drastically reduce the maintenance of the Web site. This is done with ready to use templates and the on page editing mode where the editor can simply drag and drop the content.
Drag and drop from function library
The Web page appearance is no longer tied to EPiServer CMS’s templates. EPiServer Composer will make all functions available separately in a function library, which allows Web editors to create their own pages by combining the templates. The edit on page mode simplyfies the work for editors by showing the page beeing created instead of having to switch between edit mode and view mode.
Create your own templates
EPiSErver Composer provides Web editors a tool for Web personalization, follow-up and fast optimization of flows and interfaces. When the editor is done with the Web page, the result can be saved as a template. It will then be available to all editors each time they create a new page.
