ITAB choosed EPiServer CMS 5 for a swift and easily managed website with a fresh and modern look

ITAB searched for a simple and flexible web publishing tool with requirements as possibility to extend the solution to future needs – e.g. their international sister company. ITAB’s keywords for the website was simplicity, easy to find and attractive. Based on EPiServer CMS 5 Sogeti Sverige AB has developed the the new website for ITAB. Background

ITAB sells, develops and manufactures shop fittings and equipment for general dealers and specialized stores. The business consists of project management, design, development, production and sales. The range of products is mainly wood and metal, store equipment such as cash-desk, entry systems and developed in-house products. The turnover increase at ITAB Shop Concept is about 3.5 billion SEK/year. The group has about 1,700 employees.

ITAB worked with a web publishing tool for their external website that was difficult to use. They searched for a supplier that could help them with design, requirement specification, strategy for their new website and implementation. ITAB also searched for a simple and flexible web publishing tool. One of the requirements was to make it possible to extend the solution to future needs – e.g. their international sister company. ITAB’s keywords for the website was simplicity, easy to find and attractive. It was decided that the Content Management tool EPiServer CMS 5 was the best tool for ITAB and that Sogeti Sverige AB was the most suitable supplier.

Solution

Sogeti developed a requirement specification together with ITAB with needed improvements on the website. A new design and navigation was created with a newer and more modern look. The work was carried out in cooperation with the communication agency Vinna AB (an advertising agency in Jönköping) that was responsible for the design.

Sogeti have subsequently developed the new website in EPiServer CMS 5. Sogeti was responsible for the whole project from work shop, specification, system development, integration and implementation. Sogeti have also educated ITAB’s administrators and editors in the tool.

ITAB chosed EP Hosting Center for server management. Through the service Managed Hosting they own the hardware and have full control of the technical environment.

Result

With the new solution ITAB now have a swift and easily managed website with a fresh and modern look. The updating of the website has also been simplified substantially. ITAB and Sogeti continue to work on further developments. The first step has been the parent company and other international companies that are part of the ITAB group will also have an EPiServer based solution.

The website was launched in February 2008.
