Swedish Project Management Association

The Swedish Project Management Association

The Swedish Project Management Association has been working since 1968 to strengthen and develop project management within companies and organisations. They provide a meeting place for knowledge sharing between people managing projects and project participants. In that purpose they issue a periodical journal and arrange seminars and local meetings for discussion of various topics related to project management.

Background:

The Swedish Project Management Association had an internally developed website that was complicated to work with and did not fulfil the demands of a modern website. There for the organisation looked for a simple and flexible publishing tool for their external website and EPiServer was chosen. Sogeti offered, in collaboration with EPiServer, a cost-effective solution and were chosen to deliver the new website.

Solution:

Sogeti developed and delivered the EPiServer Solution. Advertising agency Cabesa from Stockholm delivered the design. Sogeti then developed the templates for the website on the EPiServer platform according to the design plan. At the website, loged-in members are now able to read the member magazine, search words in a project related dictionary, access a literature list and apply for certifications.

Results:

With the new platform and the new look the Swedish Project Management Association has extended their member service and the updating of the website has been substantially simplified. The website was launched in September 2006. Please visit it at www.projektforum.se.
