Target Group

EPiServer Certified Developer is a certification program for developers competent in EPiServer. The program has been produced to document the competence of EPiServer developers.

Who Should Take the Test?

The target group for the certification test is EPiServer developers/programmers.

When Should the Test Be Taken?

The test candidate should be competent in the areas that the test covers. We recommend reading "Developing Solutions for EPiServer" and taking the courses Developing with EPiServer 4Advanced Developing with EPiServer 4 and Installing, configuration and hosting EPiServer. Corresponding courses for EPiServer CMS 5 - Developing with EPiServer CMS 5, Developing plug-ins and customizations in EPiServer, User Management and Personalization in EPiServer CMS 5, and Installation, configuration and performance. It is also useful to read through existing Tech Notes for each knowledge area covered in the test.

The test candidate should also have participated in at least two EPiServer projects that have covered the development of a solution from design to delivery. A mixture of theory, training and practice increases the chances of passing the test.

In addition to the knowledge described above, the certification candidates should have experience of ASP.NET development with C# as programming language. The candidate should be competent in using Visual Studio .NET as a development tool.

For Which Version Does the Test Apply?

There are tests available for EPiServer 4.60 and EPiServer CMS 5.1.
