The growing Scandic Group is strengthening its customer service by improving their online hotel booking Web site www.scandichotels.se, delivered by the IT-consultancies Sogeti and Sapient. The new Web site is now up and running.
Stockholm, Sweden, 28/02/2008 – During last year as the hotel chain Scandic was separated from the Hilton Group, Scandic focused on its strongest customer channel – www.scandichotels.se – the most visited hotel site in the Nordic region with about 8.6 million visitors yearly. Due to this, a new, modern Web site has just been launched. The solution is based on the popular web publication platform EPiServer CMS, the EPiMore-module Image Vault for advanced picture editing and the, for the hotel industry well-known, booking system Opera. Sogeti Sweden has been responsible for the implementation of EPiServer CMS, including EPiServer CMS modules, as well as the integration between EPiServer CMS and the chosen booking system.
"Simplicity, rapidity and usability have been in focus when creating the new Web site in order to increase the service level towards Scandic customers. Now it is simpler than ever to create an online hotel booking, with fewer steps from inquiry to booking. All changes and additions to the system are also updated in real time, a further improvement and safety for our customers," said Johan Michelson, Marketing Director at Scandic.
For the customers that are included in the Scandic Loyalty Program, new functions have been introduced, with an emphasis on personalized information. For instance, each member can now get an overview of private bookings.
