EPiStore version 2.3 is an e-shopping module with integrated shopping carts for EPiServer CMS 5 SP1. EPiStore is easily customized and can be further developed to meet the requirements of different customers.

EPiStore makes it possible to add an order function to the intranet or Web. EPiStore is a freestanding module  and can be easily added to EPiServer EPiServer CMS 5 from version SP1 or later versions without affecting the existing Web.
 
EPiStore can be used for internal and external shopping. The product includes support for product presentations, search functions, order functions, order handling and much more. 

Shopping cart without logging on

EPiStore is designed so that a visitor can add products to a shopping cart without having to identify themselves. The system is able to maintain the status of the shopping cart for non logged-on users even in the event of the Web service going down. Before placing an order however, visitors are required to identify themselves via a new or existing account. He/she can create an account themselves so that there is no fault in the order stating that a previous order had not been made.

Template for orders / default orders

The option of adding a template of an order provides support for more frequent visitors, a number of default orders can be simply added which can be used as guides the next time a new order is placed. This is useful for regular repeat orders of the same type of goods.

Confirmation and order status

A visitor will always receive a confirmation regarding his/her order via e-mail (if specified). The user can also enter the system at any time to view the status of the order.

Economic trends

A simpler pricing function is integrated in EPiStore. All goods can be priced and currency specified. There is no connection to a payment function in the system
