iOS dominates UK mobile market and John Lewis offers the best consumer mobile shopping experience, , according to the Mobile Commerce report 2014

Commerce is evolving and no one channel is the ‘be all and end all’. Your customers are multiple device-owning, connected consumers and they expect to be able to contact and buy from you on desktop, tablet and smartphone, via social media, email, chat, phone and in person.

Our annual report for 2014 shows that the role of mobile in commerce has continued to evolve, and we’ve seen some significant changes toward a ‘mobile first’ economy. The report this year consists of two parts and the highlights include:

Consumer research - To achieve an accurate view of what consumers expect from their mobile commerce experiences, we commissioned an independent survey of 1,000 smartphone and tablet owners in the UK

Retail experience scoring - We scored the top 20 online retailers in the UK and reveal who is leading the pack in mobile experience.

  1. John Lewis – 75%
  2. Argos – 72%
  3. Amazon UK – 71%
  4. Amazon.com – 70%
  5. Debenhams – 69%
