A media bank with new possibilities
For a website to be alive and attractive to the visitor, images should be used in different ways. At the same time, working with images and files can sometimes feel difficult for the editor. ImageVault offers central storage for all your images, which can be easily found and used on your website. Since ImageVault also supports image formats that can be used in print, all your company's images can be stored in the same archive. Similarly, you can also store and categorize other common documents such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint in Image Vault.
Easy image editing
In ImageVault 3.4, much effort has been put into improving the security management and access rights system. Through the introduction of a new http-handler, the images now get more accurate URL's which is beneficial for search engines. As a result of the improved URL's, it is now also impossible for a person without proper access rights to reach a certain file by, for example, modifying the URL.
Specific rights for viewing images and files have also been implemented, making it possible to assign viewing rights for specific EPiServer user groups. This could be very useful if you, for instance, want to create a specific section for media, where media users should have the rights to display high resolution images in different formats, or if you want to store confidential documents in ImageVault and only want members of the board to have the right to view these documents.
ImageVault 3.4 also makes it possible to work with metadata in the different languages represented on your website. An additional file view for more detailed overview has also been implemented. For developers we have also made it possible to work with conversion formats directly in the API.
ImageVault 3.4 has full support for 64 bit and is compatible with EPiServer versions 4.60 - 6 R2.
