Object Model
One of the most important technological benefits in EPiServer Community is the object model which makes it possible to utilize EPiserver Community’s Cache Engine - functions can be combined, extended and adjusted according to your needs and new functionality be added. Functions such as rating, categorization and tagging can be used on EPiServer Community objects as well as on third party objects. dynamic attributes and queries enables virtually unlimited possibilities to customize EPiServer Community functions as well as adding new functionality.
Performance
As always, performance is a prioritized aspect of EPiServer Community and the Cache Engine itself has been developed and refined for greater power and flexibility. EPiServer Community is developed with microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. The system architecture is optimized for flexible and high performance communities and consists of a large set of fundamental functions that can be developed and added anywhere in the specific implementation. At the same time custom functions can easily utilize the power and possibilities of EPiServer Community.
