EPiServer as Content Management System feeding MOSS 2007
Maintain content in EPiServer - display it in MOSS
Although there is support for working with content within MOSS, EPiServer is a more powerful Content Management System. EPiServer is also, according to many people, much easier to use. Because of this, one solution is to build the service platform around MOSS while EPiServer handles the Content Management. All material is created and maintained within EPiServer but is searchable within MOSS.

XML as a middle layer
From a practical point of view, the solution is often built so that when content has been created or modified in EPiServer, it is subsequently moved to MOSS. This can, for example, be built so that EPiServer automatically saves page content, documents and images in XML. MOSS then regularly reads new XML-packages.

Transfer is often done by saving content in XML.
A Web Part can show the information
The advantage of copying the information into MOSS is that all information will automatically be searchable in MOSS. There are however, other possibilities for showing EPiServer content in MOSS. One way is to use a Web Part that shows selected content. The information will then remain in EPiServer but it will be shown dynamically in MOSS:
