The Western Australian Government Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA) is charged with enriching and supporting Western Australians in the culture and arts sectors, and helping to provide "unique and transforming experiences". However, to do this, it needed a transformational experience of its own. Over time, the open source systems DCA had in place became increasingly inadequate. The website was out of date; clunky; in need of a major renovation.
