Bank Australia is Australia’s ﬁrst 100% customer owned bank. Operating since 1957 Bank Australia now have nearly 130,000 people and community sector organisations choose to bank with them.
Melbourne-based Bank MECU engaged Fusion to look at digital strategy as part of rebranding themselves as Bank Australia.
As a customer focused organisation, Bank Australia wanted to streamline their digital and online/mobile offering to achieve a simple digital banking experience for all users, with the ultimate goal of improving business results. On completion of the Digital Strategy Bank Australia engaged Fusion to build them a custom responsive website based on Episerver.
Technology-wise, the Episerver platform was chosen for the website for reasons such as, their internet banking provider had recently migrated their Australia wide Internet Banking solution to Episerver, with a high uptake form financial services companies and had highly recommended using the CMS for the website as well. It also has excellent customisation integration. Not only can it serve content to certain geographical regions, but it can also recognise a customer, remember their previous website journey and serve up content accordingly. The aim was to ensure the technology had an inherent simplicity. For example, someone in a call centre or a branch can effectively look at the same information as a customer might be looking at on their phone. This minimises any layers of confusion and it means things can be picked up and seamlessly continued throughout the whole banking process.
