Project Manager, E-Commerce - Remote, USA

Join the team empowered to make Episerver’s customers successful as a Project Manager, E-Commerce, for the North American Expert Services team.  Oversee the delivery of exciting, innovative Digital Experience solutions based on the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud platform, including Digital Marketing, Commerce, Machine Learning Based Personalization, and Digital Content Management.  As a Project Manager, E-Commerce you will be responsible for critical goals essential to the delivery of solutions, working both with internal experts and a well developed partner ecosystem.

The Role

 

  • Performs project planning, including identifying and developing goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identifications of risks, contingency plans, allocation of available resources, and deliverables to meet business need.
  • Facilitates project budget, SOWs, related contracts, scope, and timelines
  • Lead project teams consisting of internal and external resources
  • Hold project team members accountable through oversight and reporting for completing the project on time, with required quality, within scope and in budget
  • Identify and assist with the resolution of project related issues, risks and conflicts
  • Engage clients and create credibility and trust
  • Establishes and manages client expectations
  • Manage the project change request process and facilitate the approval process for requests submitted by clients
  • Assist in development and maintaining project documentation throughout all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Ensure that all required project management documents are developed, completed and signed at the appropriate time by the appropriate parties
  • Escalate unresolved issues to leadership in accordance with internal project policies
  • Report project progress, budget and status to the appropriate levels and recommend corrective action when necessary
  • Involved management of project from a budget perspective, including optimizing expenses of third party resources, forecasting anticipated revenue from projects, and reconciling revenue under recognition rules, and facilitating invoice reporting.
  • May work with resources that are globally distributed and be willing and able to interact with resources outside of regular business hours.
  • May work for clients located in disparate global locations and must be willing and able to interact with clients outside of regular business hours.
  • May be a first point of contact for clients as part of 24/7 service needs.

Essential Requirements

  • E-Commerce CMS and/or software development experience a must
  • Bachelor degree; in a technical field preferred
  • 10+ years of program/project management experience, managing diverse teams and large, complex system integration projects
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, and/or another Project Management-related certification(s)
  • 5 years of leadership experience in a technical environment expertise in project management methodologies and principles including but not limited to Agile and the Project Management Institute (PMI) PMBOK
  • Stakeholder/cross functional team management, vendor management
  • Demonstrated leadership of subcontractors, onshore and offshore development teams, with multiple years of large program / project delivery
  • Have skills with Jira etc.
  • Business analyst and development experience desirable
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule and travel requirements up to 10%

Desirable Characteristics

  • Excellent relationship management communication, client service, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies including .NET framework
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms to all levels of management and cultures including business analysts, technical resources, and business executive leadership
  • Ability to effectively, and independently, manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail; requires strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis and draw conclusions in collaboration with the Project Team
  • Ability to lead and work under pressure; independently make decisions at the project team level and properly escalate those decisions that cannot be resolved on a timely basis
