Revenue Accountant - Nashua, NH, USA

Join the Finance team and work with our internal teams to monitor revenue transactions, revenue recognition and billing of various service offerings. The Revenue Accountant will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities including working with other members of the organization on accounting issues. We are looking for a goal-oriented, detail-oriented accounting professional with software and service revenue recognition experience.  

The Role

  • Review contracts and documentation to support SOP 97-2 compliance.
  • Create and perform analyses on various service revenue offerings.
  • Prepare various analysis and reconciliations of all revenue and deferred revenue accounts.
  • Actively participate in monthly accounting cycles as directed by Controller.
  • Support the preparation of statistical billing reports for internal and external departments.
  • Participate in the month-end billing system close with all affected parties.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required by management depending on workload balancing and developing priorities which could include analysis, ad hoc journal entry preparation, ad hoc audit request and etc.
  • Key contributor in the audit process for product and service revenue.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales, finance, and service and support teams in solving billing problems, answering questions, and tracking milestone stages.
  • Collaborate with peers to manage priorities and coordinate efforts with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2-5 years software revenue experience
  • Strong understanding of Deferred Revenue
  • Analytical skills

  • OpenAir experience
  • VSOE study/experience
  • SOP 97-2
