Episerver and Valtech are supporting Copenhagen Airport’s digital innovation initiatives, including cph.dk and shop.cph.dk. The new website -- which features a responsive design and is available in both English and Danish -- provides extensive functionality for travelers, including duty-free pre-order, the ability to access flight and passenger information, research and book parking and ground transportation, and access information about CPH Advantage, its members-only hospitality lounge, and special offers – all via a single sign-on. As well, the website provides travelers with information for the airport’s broad range of retail and restaurant offerings.
Since retail purchases account for 50% of its revenues, Copenhagen Airport is leveraging the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud™ to enhance its eCommerce presence for its duty-free shopping. This provides travelers with the ability to order from home online and pick up in-store, supported by a rich digital experience that encourages travelers to peruse merchandise to plan their purchases prior to arrival. The website supports seamless transactions for order online and pay and pick up in-store.
Additionally, the Episerver platform provides the digital technology foundation to support the airport’s future and emerging digital plans; which could include virtual reality, beacons, and intelligent advertising via facial recognition technology, and personalized offers. In addition to the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud, Copenhagen Airport is leveraging technology from InRiver in its deployment -- all conceptualized and implemented by Valtech.
