New Era Cap Company is a leading global headwear manufacturer. Founded in 1920, the company produces more than 35 million caps per year. New Era has developed a strong identity on the street and is growing its brand into apparel, and across new markets.
The company needed a new site that supported an interactive brand experience and had robust digital commerce capabilities optimized for conversions. The New Era team also needed the new site to help grow their social footprint, expand their existing customer demographic, and increase operational efficiency.

New Era selected Episerver's digital experience platform to ensure an end-to-end ecommerce experience. They now have a fully responsive website that provides a consistent experience across their 40 European markets in five different languages. With the Episerver market management functionality, they are able to control the availability of products across various markets, and they can personalize product recommendations based on the user’s on-site journey.
New Era was able to easily integrate Episerver's digital commerce solution with the back-end systems that they already used, such as SAP for their product and stock management and the IBM Marketing Cloud for ECRM activities, including cart abandonment, marketing campaigns and special offers.
Just six months after launching, the company reported an 18% increase YoY in Black Friday sales. The New Era team attributed the increase to the promotional work made possible by Episerver's commerce and personalization solutions.
