Best websites announced in annual Episerver Website Awards
Metro Bank, The Gym Group, Permanent TSB and the Police Service of Northern Ireland have been announced as the winners of the Episerver Website Awards 2017 for UK and Ireland. The awards recognise best-in-class websites built on the Episerver platform, which is designed to enable brands to smartly manage digital content, commerce and marketing in the cloud.
More than 40 brands entered the awards, judged by a panel of industry experts with extensive experience in the digital marketing and communications sector. The winners for each category are:

For driving engagement and awareness through a customer-centric website, supporting mobile and local channels to market, integrating with local store data and providing a sophisticated mobile app demo.
- Best Website for Ecommerce — The Gym Group, from Rufus Leonard
Personalisation for different audience groups through the customer journey, dependent on previous interactions, was a strong feature, with a redesign that had delivered impressive uplifts in conversion metrics.
- Best Website for Lead Generation — Permanent TSB, from Engage
The introduction of self-service has given impressive increases in lead volume across its range of financial services, with leads in some categories increasing by more than 2000%.
- Best Website for Service & Support — Police Service of Northern Ireland, from Engage
Extensive user experience research, incorporating usability testing, surveys and IA planning, has shaped the new website and led an increase of 1000% in non-emergency online crime reporting, enabling the police service to prioritise its workflow.
