Episerver needs an Episerver CMS web editor (how meta)

The marketing team at Episerver is looking for a creative, data-driven, and savvy marketer to manage content on our website. Since we eat our own cooking, we need someone skilled in managing content with our very own Episerver CMS platform. As a global company with distributed web authorship across multiple departments world-wide, we need a content editor who will enable authors of varying technical skills to create compelling web content. Primarily, Episerver.com is a lead generation website, but must also meet the needs of multiple stakeholders including customers, partners, and prospects.

The advanced web editor will understand how content works within the larger marketing framework and strategy. They will be able to repurpose and rewrite content for the web, understand the marketing goals for content, and question content that is not in alignment with marketing and corporate goals. It is important that the web editor write well, grasp UX/UI concepts, know SEO, and can work with web analytics to drive meaningful results with Episerver.com.

We strive for simplicity and ease-of-use – we want website visitors to find relevant content quickly. This role will be a key contributor in making Episerver.com drive business goals, be a benchmark for our own products, and help create a world class website using Episerver CMS.

 

Responsibilities

  • Produce and publish new content
  • Liaise with clients and in-house team members to decide on new posts
  • Oversee layout (images, graphics, videos and artwork)
  • Check content for accuracy
  • Proofread and edit material
  • Ensure content is up-to-date
  • Comply with copyright and privacy regulations
  • Monitor website’s traffic to measure popularity
  • Collaborate with designers, product marketers, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience
  • Manage on-page SEO
  • Manage and improve organic search engine performance and goal-setting based on clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversions.

 

Requirements

  • Proven work experience using Episerver CMS web editor
  • Editing skills with a demonstrable portfolio of published work
  • Hands on experience with MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop).
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO
  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions
  • Thorough knowledge of search ranking and optimization factors
  • Proficiency in web analytics software and keyword tools.
  • Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics
  • Attention to detail
