The new websites aim to both retain customers and win new ones. Content has been rationalised and now offers clearer, stronger material that is much easier and simpler to access.
Following a competitive tendering process, JT Global (formerly known as Jersey Telecom) appointed Netcel, www.netcel.com, as its chosen Episerver partner. Netcel sought to maximize JT Global's web offering by improving the performance of the Episerver application to ensure key requirements such as increased visitors and average visit durations, would be achieved as a result of the redevelopments.
Netcel modified the Episerver solution and created new information architecture to improve the user experience of navigating the site and finding the required information. New site designs were created to further improve usability and support the improved navigation. Designs reflected the branding of the individual sites in their use of color and in the clear definition between the personal and business sections of each business.
JT Global and JT Guernsey sought to reflect the local community of Jersey and Guernsey respectively, with the use of regional imagery within the site. The new websites aim to both retain customers and win new ones in the Channel Islands. Content has been rationalised and now offers clearer, stronger material that is much easier and simpler to access.
Two revised Episerver websites were delivered in August 2009 with further sites and developments to follow. Helen Knight, Internet Channel Manager at JT Global commented, "Netcel has been a pleasure to work with. The team worked really hard to deliver the sites within extremely tight timescales. Our brand guidelines were applied perfectly to the new designs and the new navigation is both intuitive and user friendly. The sites are now a great foundation upon which we can build further online services, using Episerver CMS".
